Entrepreneur's View On Being Employed

I am sure each one of us would love to be the next Bill Gates, Michael Dell, or Mark Zuckerberg that takes the next big idea and harnesses it into a gigantic asset. Myself included. However, I have noticed in a lot of books about being a self started businessman, they seem to downgrade the idea of having a job. I understand that what the end goal is to not HAVE to get up to work today in order to survive.  That is the point though - it is the end goal. You DO need to meet your expenses from living.

That's why I am choosing to feel good about interviewing for a job at Victoria's Secret. The interview went excellent. I know it is not a high paying job and I know it is not the next big idea that is gonna come from there, but it is more income. Turning income into assets is very vital as well. I can still hone my idea to asset ability in the mean time.

I just had to say that because it seems most financial authors want you not have a job but do not really emphasize the obvious - that you need one to survive. I know I need it but I always felt like a chump looking and applying for job. Now, I choose to see it differently.

I'll step off my soap box now. : )
